What precautions do you take to make students safe?

Here at First Church we have instituted a Child Protection policy which requires anyone who is a regular teacher or coordinator of a minstry read our policy, fill out an application and have security background check before working with minor children. All persons who volunteer or work occasionally with minors are required to read and sign a form stating they will abide by our policy. As part of our policy it is suggested that whenever possible two adults be present with minors. This protects the adult workers and students. In Student Ministry Adult Workers are encouraged to counsel with students of the same gender when ever possible. In the event that this is not...Adult Workers are encouraged to stay in a public area where they can be seen by others yet have private conversation.
